The official release date for the 2021 Nissan Rogue release date is mid-June, so some of the details about the ground-up redesign are still spotty. This new generation of the popular Rogue includes upgrades all around, and while details haven’t been confirmed, there is much we do know about what you can expect.

What We Know About The 2021 Nissan Rogue

Trim Levels and Starting Prices

The 2021 Nissan Rogue gains a new high-end trim level: Platinum. The Platinum trim level is expected to feature leather seats and a larger 9” touchscreen along with an array of additional upgrades. The three lower trim levels return: S, SV, and SL. Here’s the trim levels and potential starting prices for the 2021 Nissan Rogue.

  • 2021 Nissan Rogue S - $26,000

  • 2021 Nissan Rogue SV - $28,000

  • 2021 Nissan Rogue SL - $31,000

  • 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum - $36,000

The Engine and Performance

The engine remains a 2.5 liter four-cylinder, but it’s pumping out a bit more HP. The 2021 Rogue will deliver 181 HP up from 170 HP on the 2020 model.

It will give you 29 MPG in the base model all-wheel drive or 30 MPG if you opt for front-wheel drive.

Exterior

The exterior doesn’t change in significant ways, but there are some noticeable changes. The V-motion grill is a bit wider than on the 2020 Rogue and the lights are placed higher and continue across the fenders. It also has an overall more squared-off appearance.

Interior

Buyers are going to love most of the interior updates. In addition to sleek design, useful additions, such as a bi-level dashboard and storage cubbies will make it easier to stay organized.

Premium cloth seating is found in the S and SV trims while the SL and Platinum versions will have leather seating.

Automatic climate control, heated seats in the front, and a heated steering wheel will be available on select 2021 Nissan Rogue models.

Entertainment and Tech

An 8” touchscreen on the S and SV and a 9” touchscreen on the SL and Platinum trim levels are the centerpieces of the cars’ entertainment systems.

Apple CarPlay and Android come standard on all models, while in-dash nav and a Bose stereo system are optional features.

The Platinum 2021 Nissan Rogue also  has a 10.8” display and wireless charging.

Safety

While crash-test data is still out, what we do know is that the 2021 Nissan Rogue comes with impressive standard safety features such as automated emergency brake, pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

An available adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving is also available as an option.
